Frequently Asked Questions

What should my gymnast wear? What should/shouldn’t they bring?

They should wear a fitted full length tank top or shirt and dance shorts, or a leotard anddance shorts. Hair must be pulled back. No jewelry (rings, bracelets, necklaces, watches) and posts only for earrings. Socks are optional.

Is there a trial class or free trial period available to see if my child enjoys the class?

We are unable to offer trial classes, but happy to schedule a tour and answer any questions you have about our program before you register. Click here to schedule one!

Will my child be able to make up missed classes and what is the process for scheduling make-up classes?

Make up classes are offered and scheduled within the month class was missed.  Scheduling a make up can be done by emailing us at frontdesk@elitetechniquegymnastics.com and we’ll get back to you with an available day and time.

Can my child participate in more than one class or program at a time?

Yes! They can sign up for as many classes as they like!

Are there any discounts or special offers available?

We offer a military discount. Please let us know when you register through your account that you are a military family and we’ll apply the discount for you!

What is the cancellation policy if my child needs to withdraw from the class?

We require a cancellation notice via email sent to frontdesk@elitetechniquegymnastics.com by the 15th of the month prior to not be charged for the following month.

What is the process for dropping off and picking up my child before and after class?

We’ll greet you at the front in the lobby 5 minutes before class starts. Kindergarten and younger parents are required to remain in the lobby during class in case their child needs to use the restroom. First Grade and older can be dropped off and picked up via carline at the front of Peninsular Prep.

What is the coach to gymnast/tumbler ratio in the class and how much individual attention will my child receive?

We have a low coach to gymnast/tumbler ratio making it possible for our coaches to give focused attention to each child. Our classes are broken down by age and within the class by skill level. We have found our gymnasts thrive emotionally, socially and physically when in class with their peers and gymnasts progress because the expectations for following directions and listening are age appropriate. For ages 6-12 our ratio is 1:6 or 1:8 depending on the type of class.

Is there a parent observation day or other opportunities to see my child's progress in action?

We have an annual “Skill Show Off" in May for your gymnast to showcase skills they have worked on throughout the year. You can view your child's progress during your child's weekly class in our viewing area.
